We are a family of four plus a little white dog who love living on our beautiful island home of Vashon. We enjoy spending family time outdoors: hiking, swimming and camping. When the rainy season hits we love to ski and puzzle!
Our family at our favorite local beach
We decided to try our hand making wooden jigsaw puzzles with art inspired by our gorgeous natural surroundings. Dad, Giles, is the puzzle crafter who designed the whimsical puzzle shapes and learned how to laser cut the product. Our older daughter, Sailor, created the art for our 1st jigsaw puzzle in the shape of and full of love for Vashon Island.
Mom, Susan, painted watercolors of local seashells and water sights for our collection of holiday ornaments. Piper, our youngest daughter, has enjoyed being behind the scenes testing puzzle prototypes and inspiring us to strive for the highest environmental ethic standards. She encouraged us to use cloth bags for our puzzle packaging in lieu of plastic.

Learning the art of puzzle connections
We decided to call ourselves Heart House Puzzles because we are making all our products in our home on Vashon, using our kitchen and garage as headquarters. We are using wood, paper, paints, pencils and a lot of LOVE! We plan to continue to make fun puzzles and ornaments that use beautiful handmade art images and creative shapes that we hope you will delight in as much as we have loved making them!
